Club Equipment

Over the years, the SAS has purchased several telescopes and other equipment for club members to use. Members in good standing for 60 days or more can check out equipment to use on a monthly basis. Equipment is checked out and returned during the hour before our general monthly meeting. Contact our equipment manager Dan Croskrey for the availability of the telescopes.
  
All the telescopes come with finders and eyepieces and are easy for the average person to use. Each telescope comes with a how-to booklet with directions and a list of several objects to find in the sky through out the year. Many people check out club scopes to try out before buying their own and some SAS members have used club scopes to complete the Messier and Herschel observer programs. Club members are encouraged to bring scopes they have checked out to the public events and star parties.
