*Please note that meeting times may occasionally change due to holidays or other events. Please check the Asterisk newsletter to verify the meeting time each month.

All YAA meetings are open to the public and we encourage you to come check out a YAA event! You do need to be a member to enjoy the full benefits of the YAA, including earning achievement pins.

photo(81)Members receive YAA pin books for each skill they work on, a basic handbook with an introduction to astronomy skills and space science, a planisphere, red-light observing flashlight, gear knapsack, and a lanyard to display the pins they earn!

Youth members also receive the same benefits as other club members in the SAS, with the exception of voting rights. This includes membership in the Astronomical League and the ability to check out club telescopes after membership requirements are met.

Participation in the YAA is for children under the age of 18. Please note that the material is aimed at a 7 to 14 year old audience, but that there are no lower age limits on attending.
